Nasa Umbrella is a PAYE Umbrella Company for contractors

All your lovely umbrella benefits for just £9.99 per week. Is that all you say? No its not too good to be true - and its even less after tax relief. For a higher rate tax payer, the cost is just £5.89 per week. Nasa provide everything you would expect from a quality umbrella company, just at a fraction of the cost. There are no hidden fees either. But don't be fooled into thinking a low fee means we scrimp on service levels.

As a contractor you may be able to reduce the amount of tax & NIC you pay by claiming legitimate expenses. Following HMRC guidelines and where you qualify, Nasa Umbrella can help you get the maximum benefit available through claiming genuine business costs. This helps to increase your take home pay in the process. Our consultants will talk you through the process and whether you qualify to claim expenses. The main costs generally incurred are for travel and subsistence (food & drink) and where you have a receipt you can claim this cost for tax relief. As an employee of Nasa Umbrella you'll get a full HMRC approved 'Over-Arching Contract of Employment'. As such, you'll get access to full employment benefits such as Holiday Pay, Sick Pay (SSP), Maternity and Paternity Pay (SMP & SPP) where applicable.

Your weekly fee also includes comprehensive cover for business insurances too. If anything untoward should happen while on contrcat, then you're covered for up to £10m Employers Liability and £5m for Public/Products Liability. So what about Professional Indemnity insurance? If you need this, then for just £1 per week you can get yourself covered for £1m worth of PI too. After tax relief that's just 57p extra. We'll only add this onto your service if your agency/client state it as a requirement.

Nasa can help you contribute to a pension fund to save tax. If you have a fund in place already then we can pay direct to your provider via salary sacrifice. Full NI savings will be passed onto you. Haven't got one set up yet? No problem, we can put you in touch with an IFA or you can use Nasa's stakeholder scheme. All in all, a pension contribution is a fantastic way to save tax.

As you'd expect from an umbrella that saves you money - we're flexible around when you join or leave the service. There are no joining or leaving charges, no minimum tie in periods or hidden extras. You simply pay the admin fee as and when you work on a contract. During contract downtime you will not be charged a fee.

The team here at Nasa Umbrella are a friendly bunch. As well as knowing their payroll, they're on hand from 8.30 until 6 each day (except Fridays when we start earlier and finish a little early too) to answer any questions or queries. Nasa Umbrella offers our contractors full access to a childcare voucher scheme in conjunction with our provider, Imagine Co-Operative Childcare Vouchers.
